Research Infrastructure
- Ongoing work on the procurement project for the CRIS system. The call for tenders will be published in late September, with a goal of having completed the project in April 2026
- Institutional Repository: Moving the interface for upload content from the CRIS to Repository (improving admin and author workspaces) and improving interoperability between repository and other systems on campus to create data pipelines/improve linked data flow. See the related blogpost
Research Data and Software
- The DCC hands-on support is open for application until 24 September and starts between November 2025 – September 2026. TU Delft Research projects are welcome to apply for support on research data management and analytics, research software management and computational workflows.
- The project ‘From vision to reality: Expanding digital competence at TU Delft’, funded by NWO OSNL, started on 1 August and will run until July 2029. It aims to enhance the digital skills of researchers at TU Delft.
Scholarly Communications and Publishing
- TU Delft has just celebrated the publication of its 140th book – 40 of which have been published in the last year and a half. This includes monographs, edited books, (interactive) textbooks, and conference books
- Ongoing development of ‘TU Delft Library Collections and Publishing Principles’ to underpin decisions about future collections that the library obtains from commercial publishers. The principles addresses many issues in scholarly publishing, particularly the reliance on expensive ‘GoldAPC’ contracts.
4TU.ResearchData:
- The three-year Skills4EOSC project finished at the end of August 2025, where 4TU.ResearchData made a major contribution to open science skills and training by leading the development of a curriculum for data stewards in Europe and supporting the creation of new national and regional networks of data stewards. We are also part of a follow-up Horizon Europe proposal which will be submitted later this month.
- In January 2025, we started working on the Research Data Netherlands (RDNL) project to develop a national training platform for data professionals, funded by Open Science NL / NWO. Over the next four years, our aim is to strengthen the profession by enhancing the competencies and skills of data professionals and to establish sustainable infrastructure for training and knowledge sharing
