Webinar: SciVal Ahead: Smart (AI) summaries and more

26 March, 11:00 AM – 12:00 PM (CET)

SciVal is a research analytics solution that provides access to the research performance of thousands of research institutions and their associated researchers worldwide. By using data from the Scopus database, it offers insights into research trends, benchmarking, and collaboration opportunities across all disciplines.

If you are looking to begin using this tool, the TU Delft Library provides information on how to get started with SciVal, covering access, basic functionalities and links to resources for support.

Upcoming enhancements and AI features

Elsevier is hosting a webinar to explore the next wave of enhancements for research administrators, leaders, and librarians. A central topic of the session is the introduction of Smart Summaries. These are natural language summaries generated by AI for key bibliometric indicators, designed to help users quickly interpret complex data.

In addition to AI-driven summaries, the session will highlight:
• Updated focus areas for more detailed longitudinal analyses, including a specific focus on Artificial Intelligence.
• Subject-specific analyses for rankings and the updated Ranking Tracker, which now includes the QS World University Rankings.
• Expanded export options, such as the inclusion of publisher names and institution sectors.
• New updates to policy impact analyses to better understand how research influences global policy.

The webinar is part of a series specifically tailored to the research landscape in the Netherlands. The session will be presented by Lucia Schoombee, Customer Research Analytics Consultant at Elsevier, and David den Aantrekker, Customer Success Manager for the Netherlands at Elsevier.
